Shared albums for the night
For the community, by the community
New York, NY
[what is plurr]
[001]The idea
a camera everyone
shares.
Start an album, show the code, and everyone who scans in shoots into the same roll. The next morning, you all get the entire night, not just what’s on your own phone.

[the problem]
[002]What gets lost after the night
everyone at the show takes photos. most never reach the people in them.
They sit in strangers’ camera rolls, get crushed in group chats, or disappear with a story after a day. You were all there. You should all get the night.
The usual ways
- 01 group chats Compress everything, then bury it.
- 02 airdrop Only works while you’re standing there.
- 03 instagram A performance, not a memory.
So the night ends with hundreds of photos nobody else will see, and new faces with no names attached. Plurr fixes both.
[how it works]
[003]Scan · shoot · relive · connect · return
one album.
five moments.
Here’s how one album follows a night out, from the scan at the door to the morning after. Keep scrolling.
-
01 At the event
scan in.
Whoever starts the album shows its code. Everyone else scans and they’re in: no account wall, no search, no typing.
-
02 During the night
shoot together.
Everyone shoots straight into the same album, in square, 4:3 or 9:16. Check your last shot, keep the good ones, and watch the album fill itself.
-
03 The next morning
relive it.
Wake up to the whole night from every angle. Tag the event and pick the album’s color from the wheel, so it looks like where it came from.
-
04 Days later
find each other.
Tap through to the people in the album. Profiles show favorite artists from SoundCloud and pinned photos, so there’s always something to talk about.
-
05 Before the next one
come back.
Every album stays on your home screen: the ones you made, the ones you were invited to, last summer’s. Each night out starts with more people than the last.

[the app]
[004]Inside the app
made for loud,
dark rooms.
Low light, one free hand, a dying battery and no time to fiddle. Every screen is designed for exactly that: fast when you’re out, expressive when you’re not.
-
01 — Join
scan to join
Every album has its own code. Scan it and you’re shooting. No account wall, no invite flow.
-
02 — Camera
shoot in the moment
Shoot inside the app with everyone else, in square, 4:3 or 9:16. Check your last shot and keep the good ones without leaving.
-
03 — Themes
make it look like the night
Tag the event and pick the album’s color from a wheel, so every album looks like where it came from.
-
04 — Hosting
host it your way
Set limits on your album and edit it after the night. It’s your space, not a dumping ground.
-
05 — Profiles
profiles with common ground
Your favorite artists via SoundCloud and your best photos pinned up top. Something to talk about, not a follower count.
-
06 — Home
every album, in its place
Albums sorted the way you talk about them: the one you made, the one you got invited to, the one from last summer.
[the scene]
[005]Tested at real events
built on the dance floor,
not in a boardroom.
No focus groups. We took plurr to real events, asked the crowd to scan in, and listened to what they told us.
“It feels too corporate. Bland.”
So we rebuilt plurr to look like the scene it’s for: expressive, loud, and yours to theme.

[whats next]
[006]Where plurr goes from here
the night is
just the start.
-
Now
the beta
The beta is open. Start an album at your next event and pass the code around.
-
Next
the app store
Plurr has been accepted to the Apple App Store. We’re fixing the last bugs from testing before release.
-
Then
the feed
Our testers’ biggest ask was more ways to be social. A feed of the scene you’re part of, not another highlight reel.
-
Always
out at events
We’ll keep showing up where the scene is and listening to the people in it. Look for the code.
[try it out]
[007]See you out there
see you
out there.
Get the beta, start an album at your next event, and pass the code around. Everyone shoots, everyone gets the photos, and you leave knowing who you met.
